This logo combines a flower with hearts to form an "Orchidstar". The designer, who is a lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, was inspired by Singapore's national flower the Vanda Miss Joaqium.
The vibrant colours of the logo reflect the vitality and diversity of our people. The red heart embedded within the logo symbolises Singaporeans' love for our people and our nation. It is also a reminder of the importance of a harmonious and inclusive society. The lip of the orchid is represented as the number '47′, highlighting Singapore's 47th birthday.
