A logo commissioned for the rebranding of the Telecommunication Authority of Singapore (TAS) as Telecoms. It was a redesign of the organisation's 1972 logo, which "had only limited visual impact" and the word "Telecoms" in the logo was illegible from far.
The new logo also has a stylised T in paprika orange that reflects the telecommunications provider as “modern, progressive, forward-looking and far-sighted”. It reportedly cost $120,000 to redesign and implement the entire corporate identity system across signs, letterheads, business forms, uniforms, vehicles and brochures.
In 1992, Telecoms was corporatised into various entities, including Singapore Telecom, SingPost and the reconstituted Telecommunication Authority of Singapore.
